What does Self-Care mean?
Self-care is any life-giving activity which restores, sustains or improves the quality of our lives. All too often we let one area of our life dominate the rest, usually in the area of work, family, finances or relationships. This can create various (and sometimes serious) health issues, severe stress, fatigue, anxiety and insomnia, to name just a few! Self-Care allows all aspects of our lives to flow with harmony and grace.
Who is Self-Care for?
That may sound like a silly question. But ask yourself this, “What do I do on a daily basis which nourishes my mind, body and soul”? The emphasis here is the word ‘daily’. So, of course, it’s for all of us. But, it takes a special person to not only realise that they need it but to actually do something about it. We all know when ‘things are not quite right’, so rather than putting more and more of your already depleted energy in doing what you’ve always done, perhaps the time has come to give yourself the support you truly deserve?
What happens in the ‘Self-Care for the Soul’ workshop?
Well, firstly you’ll spend time at home completing a questionnaire, answering gentle yet thought-provoking questions which will help you re-discover your true self.
At the workshop we’ll start with a relaxing session where you will get the opportunity to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. We’ll talk about where you’re at now, where you feel out of balance and where you’d like to regain your zest for life.
We’ll discuss simple Self-Care boosters which you can use on a daily basis.
We’ll play with the different ways you can restore and refill your Energy Bank Balance.
We’ll look at how to use these resources to cope with everyday stress and life’s unexpected curve balls.
We’ll gently revisit your past to examine the experiences that have led you to where you are today.
We’ll get specific on all the areas of your life that you would like to change.
We’ll re-discover your goals, your desires and your dreams.
We’ll uncover any limiting beliefs and fears that may stand between you and the life you truly want to live.
And finally, armed with new ideas, resources and a renewed zest for life, you’ll leave with the energy you thought you’d lost forever!
